Many somethings

This month, I've accomplished quite a lot of things. I'm free as a bird now. Reason being i'm able to update this blog. :)) First, we finally finished and passed our thesis. It surely took a while but heck, what matters is we are done. Over. End. Fin. Haha! I wanted to post this in my Tumblr but i don't want my followers to read every rant i make. I mean, they literally follow you and i can't bare to imagine what they will think after seeing my every post. Besides, i think Tumblr is a site for re-blogging and liking nice landscape pictures, my-bedroom-is-better-than-your-bedroom pictures, Vanessa and Zac Effron's kissing pictures, cupcake pictures (for Pete's sake) among other things. It's not really a blog for posting rants and thoughts (IMHO) of your everyday life but in fairness, pictures hosted by the site are displayed in its truest form and that, i appreciate very much. I just don't see it that "personal".

Going back, I managed to pull of another surprise for the Boss for his last birthday. It was a Ben 10 Themed Kiddie Party at Mcdonald's. I would like to thank Pepay, Dax, Kiko and Mark for being my apprentices. Videos and pictures to follow soon. In addition to that, we already moved places but felt that it isn't the right one. There's just no homey feeling in that house. We can't sleep well, we don't wanna stay there during our restdays and we feel bored when we stay there for more than 5 hours. Dunno why but the boss and I feel the same way. Lastly, we are now regular gym-goers.( nax!) We go to the gym 4 times a week, every other day and try to shed off those unwanted bulges. I became a conscious eater too. I now think how many grams of sodium is present in a certain dish or how many calories will i consume if eat a bag of popcorn etc. Gone are the days of devouring a whopper and large onion rings at Burger King and munching on gummy bears on the way home. Knowing the kinds of diseases you can suffer from not eating right gives me a sudden lump on my throat. The Boss is a very strict work out buddy. Whenever i crave for something he firmly says no and keeps it which is good for me. :)

Been having the jitters since i learned that our defense was re-scheduled 2 weeks earlier before the date we all expected. I go to sleep with the fear of not passing it and wake up to the fact that i can't do anything but prepare myself for the dreaded day. So we all gathered our asses off and started working double time. (Tumblring included).

Our program is almost finished. We just need to revise some minor details and make sure our documentation is grammatically correct. Will post the link of our site once we pass for you guys to see.

I am Gian, an unofficial member of a family with third party sluts hereby declare that this is one of the worst days of my life.

I just learned that my sis-in-law found a "hidden folder" in the camera my brother accidentally left before going back to Madrid. The images in that folder was purposely hidden (for obvious reasons). I guess my bro thought that we were stupid and that we won't be able to see it since the default folder options of a computer will not display those kind of files. But lo and behold, we did. I mustered to myself "i guess you are dumber than i am".

So we saw the images. He and a Spanish girl in each other's arms. Another one with their lips intertwined. Poor sis-in-law nearly fainted.

For the information of everyone who follows this blog, i have 7 siblings. 2 brothers which are from my father's 1st wife. A newly born sister from my father's 3rd wife and 2 more siblings from my mother and his 2nd husband. I only have one biological brother who i respected and loved. He was my hero in those times of danger, he was the only one who understood me when i walked out of my mom's life. He was the only one who eats powedered orange juice with me. Years ago, he tried his luck in a foreign country. To cut the story short, he succeeded. I was happy for him, he even told me that if i went with him in that World Youth Day trip, i could be living a better life right now. I told him i'm okay, as long as one of us is doing well, everything's well. Since we got each other's back.

My brother and i grew up separately. We only see each other at school. He lived with my Lola while i stayed with my dad. The reason for that is because our parents separated when we were young and they had their own respective families when were learning how to say bad words. Both of us knew how hard it is to be a product of a broken home. How hard it is to spend christmas with people that only cares for you because you do household chores for them in return. We literally felt like slaves in our own families. We had our own share of stories of different houses we lived in. Just so we can go to school. I remember him telling me stories of how my tito trained him to butcher pigs that they sell and how happy he is to receive his share of money and buy the things he wanted. He was a very humble person. I told myself that if i were to have a bf, i would choose one that resembles him.

He said that we should not be like our parents.

He said that we will be normal people and be exempted from the common outcome of broken families.

He said that we should be grateful if someone will love us despite of what we are.

He said that we will build our homes on a same lot so we can still look up for each other even if we already have our own families.

He said that we will be madly in-love with our partners and have adorable kids.

He said that he will not allow anything to destroy his family nor mine.

Hippie wanna-be lame attempt no. 1

I slept over at Peps' house last Wednesday. Too bad she needs to leave for work but t'was okay. Being there made me realize that i really have somebody's back. It's been years since i crashed into someone's house but this one felt like home. I'm not saying this because she's my friend. I had my fair share of slumber parties before and i'm telling you i was very cautious since i was scared to break something. This one's different. It felt like my own room filled with different things that i can freely use and i honestly thought i wanted to dance in her big bathroom while taking a shower.

I guess the main reason for this post is to thank her for letting me stay at her place with open arms. For walking with me under the heat of the scorching sun to find out a good place to dine w/c she didn't enjoyed but still laughed about it. For listening to me even if she's slumped with work. For giving me the courage to get a new cut. For letting me sing my heart out and belt as if no one was listening.For letting me be me and simply for being there for me.

My dilemma ended a little too soon that i still wanted to spend more time at that place called "home" . :)

El Nido Day 1

This is supposed to be our anniversary trip but the boss and i can't afford going to El Nido by ourselves since the van alone that will take you there from Puerto Princesa is a whopping P16,000 already. So we invited our ex-officemates and friends whom we haven't seen for quite a while and divided everything with them. It only costed us P7,500 per person inclusive of 4 days and 3 nights accomodation, 3 breakfasts and 3 lunches, island hopping fees and the Underground River tour. After our Bacolod Trip, this is the second time that the boss and i got to go out of town with friends since we always go by ourselves to bond more. All in all it was a fun trip and i don't think it woul've been more enjoyable if it weren't for our friends. :)

Flight was at 8am so we were there 2 hours before. As usual we did cam whore the whole morning while waiting.

Our plane ride was smooth and the plane wasn't full. I can't remember which airbus model it was but it was the biggest domestic plane i rode so far.

Once we arrived, we met with our other 2 friends who took a different flight since I totally forgot to invite them when we booked. Good thing they were able to secure a cheap flight 2 weeks before our trip. We were greeted by Mang Pepito (our contact before when the boss and i went to Puerto Princesa a few years back) who arranged our itinerary for the entire trip. First, it was a 2-hour ride to Sabang to see the Underground River. We had buffet lunch there and enjoyed the beauty of the beach while sipping fresh coconut juice. They served grilled fish, adobong manok, cucumber salad, adobong kangkong and other dish i don't remember anymore. But all in all, it was a great meal.

After lunch, we proceeded to ride the boat that will take us to the other island where the cave was. The boss and I weren't that much excited since we've been there before. But still, it was a relief to be surrounded by the sea, green trees and fresh air.

There were a lot of tourists that day that we waited for 30 minutes for our turn. Compared to our trip a few years ago, we had a better boatman. I forgot his name already (yeah, i forget all the time) but he really made us laugh the entire time. I was wondering how they all came up with those jokes.

So after that, we had our own share of cam whoring before returning to the main island. We freshened up and prepared ourselves for a 6-hour trip to El Nido town. Yes, 6 hours. The first 2 hours of the trip was okay. Lush greenfields, blue skies, typical nipa huts entertained us along the way. We also saw a multitude of students walking their way home from school. I can really say that transportation in that side of town is really hard. In the middle of our trip, Mang Pepito said that we will be stopping over for dinner. He brought us to this restaurant where meals are for P50 and showcased a mini-playground, cute landscape and a lonely owl.

Wasn't able to take photos of the food because it was already dark when they served it. Nothing to rave about it though i don't know if we were just all tired or the food wasn't really good. All we know is that it filled our bodies with the needed energy to withstand another 3-hour ride. Okay, now i'm gonna fast forward to our arrival at the resort because i don't want to remember how bumpy and dusty the road we took was and how it numbed all our asses. We arrived at Marina Gardens at around 11 in the evening. We reserved a total of 4 rooms and the boss and i spent the next 3 nights here:

While dragging our things to our rooms, we had a little misunderstanding with one of the guests who were already sleeping. (Clue: it involved a laos actress and her foreign bf). I won't go into details and all i can say is that Mena was our hero for the night. Haha! Love you pare!

We all settled in and called it a night since we were all exhausted from the all day's activities and cam whoring. :D

Boss and Me with Friends at Bacolod Day 2 & 3

Okay! As promised! I will continue to blog about that gloomy morning at the resort. Our second day is for island hopping. But seeing how rough the waters are, i knew that we won't really be able to "hop". We had breakfast first and prepared. The boat we rented amounted to 1850 for the next 6 hours of the day. Cheap! Included with it is our very own, cook and waiter. They brought a bag of towels, beach mats, fresh water, all their kitchen utensils and condiments. We were all surprised to see all of the necessary things that they knew we're gonna need. So after preps, we headed on.

After braving the angry waves, we finally reached the island. I'm telling you, if you are the type who goes to Boracay every year this is not the place for you. The island doesn't have the fine white sand and it's not that "clean". An old lady and three dogs lives here. It's kinda creepy seeing her especially her shabby shaft with no electric lines and a source of fresh water. We just walked to the other side and found a deserted place where we can swim and relax. We played Pinoy Henyo and really had a good laugh guessing kinky words :))

Our boatman left us to go to another island to buy fresh fish, crabs and squid. We gave them a thousand bucks and didn't recognized that they were back already. When we were all famished we went back to the area beside the shaft to find this :

Our boatman advised us to go back at around 2pm because the waters are getting bad. In the middle of our trip back it rained. It's kinda cool seeing the sea waters being rained in portions and others not. It looks like all the fishes are playing near the very surface. We did our own businesses when we got back, the boss and me roamed around the other parts of the resort, while Ate Mean and Kuya Ian took a dip in the pool and Ate Mars and Kuya Emil slept. The receptionist provided us a map and we were curious about their turtle farm. So the boss and i walked along a very rough patch and we saw a mini zoo but there was only one bird inside the cages. So we walked ahead still and saw the sign. But we didn't saw any turtle! We just saw the remnants of the oil spill that happened a few years back. The resort manager said that after that oil spill, a number of guests canceled their reservations :( . But they are trying to renovate everything and put it back to life.

The boss and i decided to go back and rinse ourselves. We prepared ourselves for the "inuman night" with tongits. The boys had beer and we the girls just had pulutan and soda. The tongits game was fun because whoever wins can draw anything using a lipstick on the loser's face. Kuya Ian ended up with his whole face painted! :)) We even had dinner w/o washing our faces, the waiters had a smirk on their faces when they saw us. We were the only guests on that night so we didn't really cared. :D

We called it a night at around 9pm. Pretty early for me, but everyone was exhausted since we woke up at 6am. We slept soundly and woke up late the next morning. We have a lot of time slacking since our flight was scheduled at 5 o' clock in the afternoon. We had breakfast, camwhored a lot and packed. We went to BongBong's pasalubong center and tried the famous Ted's La Paz batchoy at the Gaisano mall.

When we arrived at the airport, we had coffee and ate the lansones we bought. Very sweet and you just wont' stop munching. Ate Mean and Kuya Ian's flight was an hour ahead of us so we were left watching Madagascar 3 in the waiting area.

We got home at around 8pm and i can say that the trip was fun even if the beach wasn't really nice. I actually missed the company of our friends the next day. I realized that being with your favorite people cannot ruin any trip even if the place didn't meet your expectations. One of the happiest birthdays i had, i hope next year will be another adventure again. I think we'll be going back to Costa Aguada, but not after the next 3-5 years.

I give the resort a 5 out 5 skulls for the best service and unsolicited smiles :)

The boss' YM at work sucks. The messages just doesn't come real time. So we have to say "copy, over" a lotta times to make sure that we are still in the same line of conversation.

Its been a month already and i haven't posted anything here. I have a lot of time actually on weekends but our IT department decided to restrict every single page of social life you can get out of the internet. So i'm stuck with forums. Even Photobucket is screwed. Will try to update the Bacolod Trip. A lot of things actually happened already. And i'm way toooooooo fucked up because i have a lot to tell about. Will bring Mr. Paqs on Saturday and try to connect to the school's wifi so i won't have to just listen to my team mate's snoring for 9 hours.

Anyway, a few more weeks and school is finally over. I just can't wait. This will be my greatest christmas ever. :)

Boss and Me with Friends at Bacolod Day 1

The day started with a very early flight. Even if we only slept for a few hours, we were still hyper and woke up 2 hours before the alarm went off. We rode cab together with the "promotor" of the trip, Kuya Emil and his gf, Ate Mars.

We arrived at NAIA 2 and had breakfast, chatted and waited and camwhoring began.

Too bad there's no DPP mag available and i ended up with Imag, which i'm a forum member as well. Believe me, there are a lot of tips in these glossy papers which you couldn't get from the net. It featured a very quick tutorial about Lightroom which i wanted to try but haven't had the luxury of time yet. Up to now, i'm still not finished reading every page. A few moments later we finally boarded and this is my first time flying without the sun on my window. Here's a shot from where the boss and i sat.

There were a lot of passengers on that flight and everybody was sleeping. The ride was good. No bumps and no any disturbance whatsoever. I was amazed when i saw the sun creeping its way through the clouds.

When i was a kid, i thought you can literally touch the clouds and lie on it like very soft pillows. But i was very very wrong. It turned out that clouds are just a visible mass of droplets or frozen crystals suspended in the atmosphere above the surface of the earth. Well that's how Wikipedia describes it. After a cup of coffee and some nuts, we finally arrived at the Bacolod City Airport.

We waited for our tour guide to arrive not knowing that they were already outside the airport. Mind you, they didn't even approached any of us. They have a banner and didn't even used it for us to see. What a useless piece of plastic. The tour guide didn't even know the answers to my questions. I was beginning to get pissed because when i'm planning a trip i do research, read reviews etc to make sure i get the best for what i pay for. But this tour guide must attend a seminar on how to do her job. Don't get me wrong here. I know i should've known everything prior to this trip, but since the boss and i just got tagged along this packaged tour we were so confident that it will be a smooth one because of the itineraries and stuff. What made it worse was, on the itinerary, they said that they will fetch us at the airport at 7:30am. So when i booked a flight i got no choice but to get the earliest one which will arrive at 6AM. Okay, so they fetched us at 7:30am. And lo and behold. All the tourist spots that we were supposed to visit are all closed! WTF? The guide said that it will open at 9am. Another WTF? They required us to be there that early to just find out that everything is still closed? It was the day of my birthday then and i don't wanna ruin my mood. So we just asked if we can have breakfast first. We got acquainted with Ate Me-an and Kuya Ian, who were Ate Mars' friends in college. We went to the area near SM and all the manukan's are there. But its clear that they aren't ready to open yet because there were no smoke and bbqued chicken fronting their stores. But good thing that we spotted one of them with chicken inasal on the glass shelf. So we decided to stop and eat. While waiting for our orders to be ready i got the chance to shoot some kids there. They were funny because they called me "manang" and they just kept on smiling.

Fact: SILAY City is dubbed as '(little) Paris' of Occidental Negros for its rich culture and history and ancestral houses in the city which preserve great Filipino culture of the past.

We first went to Jalandoni Bernardino Museum which was built in 1908, was owned by Don Bernardino Jalandoni and wife Ysabel Ledesma-Jalandoni. It is now a museum located along the busy street of Rizal near the city market. The house was very well kept and preserved. The wooden staircase is original and almost everything inside the house marks how rich the people there lived in. I'll just let the pictures speak for themselves.

Our next stop was the Balay Negrense but pictures are prohibited in the 2nd floor thats why we only have pictures at the staircase.

Finally, after insisiting that we go to The Ruins (the guide said that she hasn't seen the place herself. Well what more can i ask for? PFFT.) we made our way down the bumpy and muddy road. I'm not really a fan of old structures but just for the heck of it we just want to get the most of what we paid for anyway and the guide said that it will be our last stop to go since we needed to go to the port muy pronto because the waves going to the island will get rough after lunch. A big whatever. And this is what we saw.

We didn't stayed long for it was very hot even if the sun wasn't shining. It was another 45min ride to the port so we moved on. When we asked the guide about how much are the rates for the island hopping and snorkeling she said that it was P1800 per hour. I was flabbergasted. I asked her if we're gonna be using a speedboat or a yatch or even a boat with a glass floor for the rates to go that high and she said that she didn't know. What a poor little thing. When we did our island hopping which deserves another entry, we were only asked P1850 for the whole day. Do you now see how this tour guide ruined my day?

Anyway, i was so delighted when i found out that she's not gonna come with us to the island. We hopped on the boat that will take us to the resort but i wasn't able to take pictures since its not worth it. The water was brown from all the oil in the nearby port for passenger boats and water was splashing everywhere. I can't let Eva get dirty. When we arrived at the island, a tram was waiting for us with the Manager who greeted us with a very warm smile. I forced myself not to tell him about their lousy guide because i just want to get over it and the boss might get mad. Hahaha! It was an uphill drive and you can see the panoramic view of the sea. We were welcomed with necklaces made of buko leaves and the freshest and sweetest buko juice i ever tried that that one i had in Bohol really landslided. While i was filling out forms, the staff sang happy birthday with a guitar. Wasn't able to take pictures again and i guess the boss was too ecstatic of what was happening that he didn't grabbed Eva from me or maybe he's too comfortable sitting in the sofa at the reception area. We were finally led to our rooms and unpacked our bags. I forgot to say that we stayed in Costa Aguada Resort. They don't have a website that i could find so if you stumble upon one please let me know so i can update this.

Everything inside the room was made with bamboo. There's no airconditioning but you won't need it anyway since it was so "presko". The screened windows have curtains which you can move so air can flow. The comfort room is superb. The sink is made of a stone in a mosaic-like style. It has everything you will need. 6 towels, soaps and bathroom tissue. There's also a thermos of cold water and 2 glasses on top of a desk. I give the room a 9 out of 10 skulls because it was very earth friendly and so "pinoy". I really felt like i was in a probinsya away from the hustle and bustle of the big city. After unpacking our bags, Eva died. I can't believe i already drained my two batteries and worse comes to worse, there is a power schedule on the resort. And that means that i won't be able to take pictures for three hours. Damn. I feel so useless w/o my camera. So we just took the privilege of resting and swam later at the pool. Girltalk with Ate Mars and Ate Me-an and played with the boss underwater. We had dinner at around 8pm and the staff at the restaurant surprised me with their special bibingka in lieu of a birthday cake. How sweeet! :D The bibingka was moist, soft and very cheezy! It was so good that we ordered in advance for us to take home.

After stuffing ourselves we watched TV and lounged around the entertainment area.

We called it a night after watching Tayong Dalawa and just dozed off because we'll gonna wake up early the next day for our island hopping.

Our 21st

I have a lot of stories to tell but i don't have the time yet. Today is an exception since its a very special day and just can't let it pass without blogging it. I want to greet the boss a happy 21st monthsary :)

1st leg of my sembreak happenings :)

My long time friend and Philmusician sister, Abie celebrated her birthday in their farm with her closest friends. I was tasked to be the photog for the event weeks ago and I was already ecstatic about it. The boss wasn’t able to come because he changed schedules. They hired several vans for the transportation to accommodate everyone. There were about 30 of us and I only know the celebrant and 5 friends. So it was like meeting new people for the first time with the same goal – to party and make the celebrant happy. It was awesome. I never expected it to turn out that fun. I met new friends. Met a lot of crazier friends. Sang Oops I Did It Again and Pokerface on the videoke. Danced like Lady Gaga (oh yes. So much for my rockstar image :D) Ate a lot. Drank a lot more water. I didn’t drank beer because I knew my asthma is gonna party with us too. And it did. Ditto hit me twice because of laughing and I cried because of laughing too hard. I did a very impromptu speech for the celebrant and I didn’t know if I convinced her parents of what I said.

Our group was the first to arrive. Thanks to the driver of the van who drove like it was his first time on the express way. We were hitting 160km/h!

Everybody had a good time. After having dinner, a very short program came after. A star-studded AVP for Sis Abie by her Studio23 officemates, wishes, birthday greetings and exression of love for the celebrant. Everybody was happy, sweet and in a very light mood. I've never been to a party like this before. It was pure clean fun and heart-racing laughter.

A videoke contest "Happynest Style" happened after. With a price of P2000, everyone from their group seletected a representative to sing. Liv, the celebrant's officemate bagged the prize after singing a very heartful "Torete".

Everybody had their own share of activities after the contest. Others went swimming, some bonded over drinks but we, we never left the videoke. I had a good time with Rex, Ayn and Dohna and the Roxymorrons.

The party ended with a smile on everybody's faces as we all go back to Manila.

Who would think that i only met them that day huh?! It was a very crazy, wacky and outrageous night! One of the happiest I ever had since going back to school.

Came home at 5am. Just in time before the boss comes home from work :)

I'm freeee!!!

Well at least for the time being. Ahmm..a week to be exact. :) We're done with the first phase of our thesis and i can finally enjoy the term break! I'm so excited to do the things on my list that are waiting to be done since God knows when. Already enjoyed the company of two groups so far..will blog about it soon! Wohooo! i'm feeling ecstatic. I'm so happy! Hahahaha!

I just finished editing all my entries as well as the image links after getting hacked by i don't know who.

Yeah, so now..i'm gonna start blogging again..and i hope this time it will be for forever and no hacking incidents again or else i'm gonna quit using the internet.

I have a lot to blog about, mamu's birthday and our Batangas road trip. But that can wait.

Update update: Thesis defense is on Aug. 12, then midtem exams in Computer Architecture on the 13th, go to Bulacan for David'd 6th birthday on the 15th and try to go visit Roby in St. Lukes on the 16th. Too bad the boss won't be able to tag along because of his lame schedule. This is the first time in months that i will have to go to occasions alone. But it also has an advantage since he's free on weekdays and he drops me at school and at fetches me at work.

School will end in approximately 2 more weeks and we will have our 2-week vacation. I'm excited for our Guimaras Island getaway! Also for the last school term of my life. I'm really looking forward to graduating soon. I feel like my life is over-delayed already in terms of career, personal growth and fun experiences. I was on the verge of quitting school the other day. I just felt like i'm already worn out. Good thing the boss is always there to remind me that i'm just a few more months to go and i won't forget our deal that if i don't graduate he won't marry me. Hahahaah!

So i guess i've got no choice. Sheeesh.

I was hacked

Okay, so you can't see anything here right now because my yahoo account was requested to be terminated by somebody out there with a rotten brain. All my online accounts : facebook, multiply, friendster, flickr, photobucket and e-mail was terminated without my consent. I'm so pissed to hell that i want to stop using the internet anymore. So please bear with me, especially to my GTalk sisters because i need to browse through my backed-up files for all the pictures, post-process them and upload them album by album or one by one to compensate all the kwentos i posted in my blog about our bohol vacay.

My thesis defense is just few days from now and i don't know what to do anymore. I'm hoping that the person who engineered this ignominy gets a very bad karma.

Melancholic Sadness

Since when does changing schedules make someone cry? Maybe now. I guess i'm just overreacting to things that doesn't really matter. The boss' schedule just changed and his restdays are Wed-Thu so that means i'm left all alone at home on my restdays. I go to school from Mondays thru Fridays and work from Tuesdays thru Saturdays and that means that his restdays fall on the days when i have work and school at the same time.

Talk about bonding. PFFFFT.

Day 4 - Back to the busy city :(

We were awakened by the sound of the waves hitting the shore. Turned out it was raining hard. We were thankful that the rain fell on this day since we have completed all our activities already. Clueless as we were on why it was raining, the caretaker told us that there was a low pressure area around.

We availed of our last free breakfast at the resort and prepared our things. The van who’s gonna bring us to the resort was already there when we checked out.

Nothing really much to say about this day (or i'm just feeling lazy). When we arrived at the airport, we were amazed by the cute twins dancing to Poker Face who was also on the same flight as we were. They pretty much provided the entertainment at the airport while waiting.

Our flight was distressing because of the turbulence. We were "air" stranded for 30 minutes due to the number of planes on the tarmac which was also delayed because of the bad weather. I am seriously afraid to fly now.

Bohol Adventure - Day 3

Okay, on with our 3rd day .

Mang Viao fetched us to go dolphin watching and island hopping as early as 5:30am. The water was calm and the breeze was cool. You won’t even feel like you are in the middle of the ocean. We went past Alona Beach and saw the whole of Panglao Island in its morning beauty.

After an hour, we saw other boats on the same area and like us, they were waiting for the dolphins to emerge from the waters and when they did, boy it was like war! The boats were racing to get near them because they only surface for a few seconds then changes direction again. My 55-200mm lens weren’t enough for we are very far from the spot where they appeared. So we waited a few minutes more and voila! They jumped just a few meters from where we were! Hahahaha! I was shouting like a 3-year old kid when I saw them. The boss was busy recording with his camera.

That was it. We headed off to Balicasag Island to visit the Fish Sanctuary. The spot where we docked doesn’t have the fine sand that you see in Dumaluan Beach. We decided to tour the island first so we walked inside it and were surprised to see houses, day care center, a school and a baranggay hall.

I was too excited to snorkel so we headed to the sanctuary after a couple of minutes. Once I dove in, I was amazed to see a school of fish below me, I was right on the edge of a cliff and I can see every kind of fish playing and racing for tiny bits of bread that are being fed by the people. In all my snorkeling experiences, Bohol has got to be the best so far. This is the only place where I saw colorful fishes in their most comfortable habitats and not scared of people! The boss and I really had a great time and good thing our boatman/tour guide was a good swimmer so he dove a few meters below us so he can take pictures of us together.

We snorkeled for about 2 hours. The sun was hot and it was blistering my skin when I resurfaced. We decided to go back and enjoy swimming more at the resort. We were starving when we went back to the kubo where we will have our lunch so we ordered fresh buko for 20 pesos each and much to my delight; it was the sweetest buko I ever tasted. I wonder how it turned out so sweet when its soil is above salty water. Hahaha! Ironic. We picked our kind of fish and it costed us P230 for this:

You will also have to pay an extra hundred for the "paluto" with all the condiments and additional 10 pesos per cup of rice which was not bad for a fresh catch. I don't really have the guts to eat big fishes like the swordfish and mayamaya so I was happy to see these little ones on display. I don't know but i can't tolerate the after taste of fishes. I was really happy to see our fishes cooked and served to us like this:

See? It wasn't bad after all! We ate happily while listening to some stories about Balicasag Island from the elders that were there. They said that their ancestors where there first before the lighthouse was built. That they are technically squatters but the US Navy who bought the island from the Philippine Government agreed for them to settle there since they were the people who first discovered the islands etc..After a few chit chats we knew that the one who served us our food was the Baranggay Captain of the island and his wife. They were so accommodating. It was really nice to connect with the locals as you get to learn the history and how they live in an island that the only means of transportation to the city is a motorboat. Being the people loving person that I am, I made sure i had a shot with the kapitan's wife. She invited us to come back as their guests every July because its the island's fiesta and she said we can stay at her house for free. Making friends with the locals is really fun. Hahaha!

Too bad i already forgot her name. But i know where they stay. :)

After 3 bukos and a very hearty lunch we took off and headed to Virgin Island. It’s a sand bar which you can only see when its low tide. It doesn’t have any settlers since it tends to sink when the waters are high. We stayed for a while and enjoyed its pristine sands and did lot of camwhoring there.

We asked Mang Viao to take us back to our resort since the heat of the sun is unbearable. We gave them P2000 for the whole trip inclusive of snorkeling gears and life vests. While waiting for the sun to set, we just lounged at the shore and I continued to read my magazine. We took a dip when the sun was down but didn’t enjoyed much because there wasn’t a part of the beach w/o starfishes, sea urchins so we can’t really go for a freestyle. After that, we just rinsed and slept.

We woke at around 8pm to have dinner at Dumaluan Bar and Grill which is just a few meters away and had Buttered Shrimps and Liempo with Mango Shake.

It rained hard and we were forced to stay in the comfort of the kubo because we can’t let Eva get wet. The rain stopped after a glorious one a half hour and we went back to our room to watch a movie then slept again after. That night, I was kinda gloomy knowing that we’re coming back to Manila once the dawn breaks.

Bohol Adventure - Day 2

We woke up early on the next day to catch the sunrise. We were told that the sun rises on this part of the island so i prepped my tripod on the shore and started shooting while the boss was busy making coffee.

As suggested by our very kind tour guide, we didn't rented a van on our 2nd day to explore Panglao Island. He said that you can tour the whole island and go to the must-see places in 4 hours. So we asked Mang Ed, the owner of our resort to contact someone who we can hire a motorbike from. We paid him 600 for the entire day and the boss and i took off.

We first went to Flushing Meadows to see our good friend Johnna who was there for a conference. We hadn't seen each other for quite sometime and were delighted when we knew that we will be able to see each other in Bohol. I really missed her since she left for another company, we used to be seatmates at work and used to curse and shout at our clients at almost the same time every day. Hahahaha! Old times old times. We decided to have breakfast at Bohol Bee Farm for a change of atmosphere.

After stuffing ourselves and lots of catch up kwentos, we started the tour of the farm. For only 20 pesos, a tour guide will roam around with you and feed you with all the information you need to know about the farm and how they produce organic products.

Me thinks that the guide was nervous, because all throughout the tour, he was stuttering. We told him not to be scared as we don't bite. :D. The most amazing story of the tour is the life of the bees. The Queen bee is hybrid. So stop dreaming to become a queen bee if you are a worker bee. If a male bee wants to have sex, he will sacrifice his life because a male bee dies instantly after droning the queen bee. The female bee only lasts 45 days and they don't even got the chance to have fun because once they were born a worker they die a worker. Sad right? Anyway, Johnna's flight was on the same day so she got off ahead of us because it was near lunch already.

The boss and i headed to find Hinagdanan Cave. I really can't help thinking about the bees, i feel very lucky to be a human, if i were a bee and the boss was a bee too, we will start our own colony and have sex together. So he dies in my arms. bwahahaha! LOL! Moving on, since we don't know how to get to the cave, we asked our way around. Good thing the locals are very accommodating and very kind enough to tell us how to get there. After a few turns we realized we are lost. Hahahahaha! It was very fun to get lost! We passed by a very long road with no houses and adorned by vasts of green fields with lazy cows and goats running around. I said "aahhhh!" and thought to myself that this is the life. No traffic, no pollution, no one demanding anything and just pure fresh air entering my lungs and going through the process of turning itself to carbon dioxide. The boss and i started shouting "yeaaah! bohol rocks!" and topping that off with "III LLLOOVVEEE YOOOUUU BOOOSSS!!!" and replying with "IIII LOOOVEE YOOUU MOOSSSTT BBHIIIEEE!" shouts. Hahahaah! We looked like crazy but it really felt great. The only time we stopped shouting is when we saw the national road that revealed houses and we think we were on the right way since we saw a landmark to where we are going. Okay so much for the illusion of getting lost. Hahahaha! We finally reached the cave.

It smelled like fresh water and pee inside but its okay. No air circulates inside so you'll be used to it anyway. It was pitch black also except for the ray of light shining its way through the hole above. I didn't realized that the cave was this stunning until i took this photo. There were locals swimming in the water and others are taking pictures as well. We didn't stayed long because i felt claustrophobic as soon as ten more people started descending the stairs.

It was already 2 o' clock in the afternoon and we realized that we didn't had lunch yet. Our next stop was Alona Beach. Its another area in the island where tourists flock and stay because of the number of different resorts that they can choose from. We had lunch at one of the restaurants there named Hayahay Pizza which claims to have the best pizza in the island. So we gave it a try :

honestly, we didn't liked any of the food we ordered but since we were very hungry we just finished everything. The boss just told me to enjoy and savor the time and scenery. This is the view outside our window:

After eating, we walked by the shore and checked if its sand is finer than the one in front of our resort. The sand is just the same texture but our shore was way cleaner. There a lot of seaweeds in this part of the island and a lot of cigarette butts. Of course hindi mawawala ang picture taking:

We decided to go back to our resort since the sky is starting to get dark and we don't want to drive while we are drenched. We just lazed around the shore and i continued reading my magazine when the sun started to shine again. So we started taking pictures at the shore and beach. Since it was low tide already there were a lot of starfishes and other creatures on the sand.

We had dinner at Dumaluan Grill and ate indian mango that we bought from the locals. The boss had a few drinks and i had shake. We called it a day at around 6pm. We showered and settled in the soft beds for a movie marathon. This is the fun of doing things your way. You manage your time and not get crammed with a schedule all the time.

Bohol Adventure - Day 1

The boss and i went to Bohol for our summer-sacrificed vacation and to chillax after a very grueling term at school and toxic everyday work routine. Woke at 3am even if our flight was 8:30am because the both of us just can't sleep. We were both giddy and we just had a lot to talk about. Had pan de sal and hotdogs for breakfast and took off. We already packed the night before so we were really ready.

Once we arrived at the airport and got us checked in, i settled to read my new DPP issue which i bought the day before since i knew that we will be waiting for a while. This issue focused on concert photography which i didn't had the chance to shoot yet but enjoy the most. The boss was busy clicking away since he didn't have anything to do. Sobrang kulit!

When it was finally our turn to board the plane, the boss was busy taking videos of me walking. I won't post it here because he said that he will do a full movie of all the videos he took and make an AVP. I was already settled in my seat and reading again when he nudged me and said that he wants us to take more pictures. Even if i was on the verge of irritation because i'm nearly finishing the article that i was reading, i gave in. So here :

I was much delighted with joy when the pilot said that we were about to depart because that meant that the boss will be busy staring outside his window and i can have my little peace of mind again. And thank heavens because he didn't even talked to me the entire flight.

We landed in Tagbilaran at around 9:55am and got our stuff. One remarkable thing that you will notice is how clean the airport was. Mang Jun our guide for the day was already there and we were surprised to see a Nissan Escapade waiting for us. Turned out that Mang Jun thought that there were 6 of us. So we had all the van by ourselves and it was nice because that meant a lot of legroom and very comfortable day.

We asked Mang Jun to bring us to the nearest convenience store to buy chips, bread and water. Then we headed to the Blood Compact Site. This site commemorates the Blood Compact between Miguel Lopez de Legazpi of Spain and Rajah Sikatuna of Bohol. And i don't know what else.

We didn't stayed that long because we were already hungry by that time since we had breakfast at 3 in the morning. I was relieved when Mang Jun told us that we will go first to Loboc to have lunch in the floating resto because people will flock if we go at a later time and we won't have the chance to choose which floating resto we want. Riverwatch's menu consisted of pinoy food from grilled fish to squids, crispy shrimps, fried chicken, pansit, bbq and a wide array of pinoy delicacies for desserts and watermelon and pineapple.

We were finished eating when the boat started its cruise toward the very calm waters, green trees and blue sky.

Everyone on board was happy, even the waiters who assisted us with our needs seemed to be in a very light mood. There were a duo performing on one corner with the accompaniment of a guitar and an organ. You can even volunteer to sing if you want. Food was great and you can come back to the buffet table for as long as you want. We stopped by a docking-like-station where there were locals dressed in Filipiniana costumes and did traditional dances for us. You can give donations if you want or buy some of their bottled honey or simply just smile for them and clap.

The cruise ended after an hour so we were on our way to Chocolate Hills and passed by the Man-Made Forest which really caught my heart. It was fantabulously beautiful!

I wished to myself that all the roads here in Manila has trees lined up like these. It would be very pleasing to drive and got stuck in traffic all day. When we arrived at the Chocolate Hills, it suddenly got dark and misty but rain didn't fell. So the boss and i still walked ourselves up the gazillion steps to reach the top to see the panoramic view. There were a lot of Koreans who were taking a lot of pictures and stayed very long on the main deck where you get the best spot for a portrait so we just settled in an area where a very few people will most likely stand by.

When i was in grade school, i thought that the Chocolate Hills are edible. Because they looked like Hershey's Kisses. Now i experienced being on top of one, i felt like being on top of a gigantic chocolate. After the hills, we visited the Tarsier which seemed very lonely to me. I didn't felt anything but empathy for them. I wanted to take it and free it. The locals said that they were sleeping most of the day and awake at night. So i thought that we have the same routine and i won't blame them if they looked so lazy and gave me that i-don't-care-if-you-are-here attitude.

Butterfly farm was next, where they have the best avocado flavored ice candy i ever tasted. The life of the butterfly was discussed (as if i didn't know it) and we entered the garden. The butterflies swooped around and i think they love the boss more than me.

Our next stop was the Hanging Bridge which was really scary to walk on when there a lot of people already because of its very not sturdy feel.

Our last stop before going to the resort is the Baclayon Church. There's a museum inside it which features century-old idols, music books they used back then, priests 'clothes and lot of musical instruments that feels really creepy. Cameras are not allowed inside it so we were only able to take pictures inside and outside the church. A wedding was currently being held when we went there so we didn't stayed long and we were also very tired already.

We stayed at Whites and Greens for our entire 4-day vacation. I was in awe as we arrived because of the very long shoreline and very fine white sand. We just dropped our bags and went for a stroll along the beach to see its surroundings. We had dinner at our resort and met Pia, a fellow Gtalker and call it a day. We were too tired that i didn't even got kiss the boss goodnight.

the title-less entry

School's already started. Endless java programs. Ecosystem assignments which i think doesn't really have anything to do with my course. Redundant topics in Computer Architecture (really boring) and our dreaded Thesis A. I guess i need to drink Extra Joss or maybe Redbull (i need cocaine LOL) to keep me going. But lo and behold, i haven't even taken any kind of supplements like vitamin C or B12, or A-Z for the entire time of my back to school life.

Many are wondering how do i keep up with my everyday routine. I say i don't know. Really. Maybe my drive for continuing my life and having a very good future satisfies my craving to render a 9-hour shift at work and try to make my classmates laugh all day, spank miss divina's ass every time i see her and catch up with inday and khay about our everyday kilig kwentos and having the luxury of okrayin ang mga taong walang kwenta sa school (we're mean, but we're not the mean girls. just so you know).

I've been trying so hard to catch up with everyone through the net because they aren't feeling my presence anymore due to my schedule. (I would like to take this opportunity to thank Facebook, Multiply and ~~Friendster)~~ for feeding me with the updates of my friend's daily lives as well as their new beginnings into parenthood and new careers. But what i truly miss is hanging out with them. Laughing until you are breathless, getting home late (which doesn't apply to me), reminiscing all your fun moments together years ago including your petty cat fights , attending gigs and drinking all night and just being with them physically. Haaay..maybe the reason for this entry is because i miss going out again like what i used to do years 2004-2007 when i still had all the time in the world. i miss being worry free and just waking up late and doing things at my own pace and not bothering about how i am gonna squeeze my assignments during work.

Me thinks i'm still blessed to have friends that can go out with me when i'm free and take their time off just to grab the once in a year opportunity to hang out, laugh, reminisce and just be with me.

Sembreak is over

Okay. I didn't even felt it. The only thing that i enjoyed the most is going straight home after work with the boss and sleeping longer hours and eating a lot more. I got the chance to go out one hot Sunday for a shoot with the ShutterXP group from Flickr and was able to meet a lot of "makukulit na tao" and we were all laughing our asses off the entire day. Here are some of my shots :

I really enjoy going out with fellow photogs. I don't really have the time so i took the chance of going to that 1st EB since it was the last day of my vacation. The boss didn't hesitated when i asked him if i could go. He just asked me to be at home not later than dinner since he will cook for me. (love you boss :-*)

Okay. Last May 15, my bestfriend Jemima arrived from Japan to watch David Cook and David Archuleta live at Mall of Asia. We just had a very quick dinner by the bay and agreed to meet again at another time when we can spend the whole day together.

Haaaay! i was so happy to see her again! We didn't had a lot of time catching up since they're gonna watch the concert so we agreed to meet again after that.

Of course the ever supportive boss was there even if his feet are already aching for following us around.

Mr. Paqs wants to stay

Okay, so the boss and I went to greenhills to sell it but they only priced it for 14k. Are you fucking kidding me? 14k lang? Sayo na 14k mo!

We just wento PC express to get the RAM and HDD upgraded for 3700. That's it. I'm happier now. I guess this lappy just doesn't want another owner.

This cervical cancer vaccine hurts like hell. I got myself injected earlier at work and up to now i can't seem to be at ease with the pain. This is my first time to have a vaccine here in the phils, mamu told me that in Madrid they do it in the butt. Hell, i was too young then and i guess i've been sucking on my mother's nips for the longest time after the immunization. So here i am, blogging away since i can't sleep.

The boss and i got home around 11.30am after going to Borough Medical Clinic to have myself checked for my digestion problems. I've been very constipated these past few weeks even with countless mixings of oatmeals and intake of fiber-rich foods. The doctor told me to submit a stool sample and if worse will come to worse, i need to have a telescope thingy to stick up my ass to check if there's something inside my colon. I'm not scared. I've never been scared of doctors and needles and other medical procedures. I'm more scared at seeing roaches and their eagle-like wings.

Moving on, i will be reformatting this laptop so i can sell it like new. Will be replacing my Mr. Paqs with another 14" compaq model as well. I'm having a hard time travelling with this 17" widescreen lappy and i'm getting lazy in bringing it to school because it hurts my shoulders so much. This is Mr. Paqs the day i bought him. He was born last July 2007.

Haaay..i can still remember how happy i was when i was using it for the first time. This laptop is my first and my 2nd investment after my electric guitar. Buying things with your own money really makes it worth it. Now its time to let it go.

Rant

The boss and i went to Naga City to attend the wake of his Grandfather so i had the chance to meet all his relatives from his mother side. They were cool. I got along well with the cousins and we just spent the day laughing and updating each other of our so-called lives. Finally at around 4pm, the beer that Kuya Emil specially requested to be included in the daily grocery list arrived and we started with the ever so famous red horse. I volunteered as the "tanggera" and we drank till around 9pm i think (i was so drunk after 24cans) and they continued with another 24cans of san mig strong(argh!) the boss was already tipsy when i went outside after taking a very long and cold bath. Then we went to the city to try the Kinalas, its just their term for noodles but it tastes very nice. It has a gravy-like sauce that you add into the soup and you pair it with fried siopao. We left next thing in the morning and since we don't have pre-booked tickets we only took our chances of getting a bus.

And hell broke loose.

There it was the mighty Philtranco. Which really pissed me off the entire trip. The regular Naga-Manila trip should only last 8-9hours but we were at the bus for freakin' 12 hours! Imagine our butts getting callouses for seating that long. Their stop-over place was not that good err nice err ok. They consider themselves a restaurant but where in the world will you see a restaurant with lots of stray dogs waiting beside you as if they are your bestfriends? The service is horrifying. The vendors are just clad in sandos and no hair nets at all. Since we left Naga at around 9am we didn't had the chance to buy ourselves a good meal and all the stores at the terminal only offered snack and junk foods. I just settled for a stick of bbq which is as hard as stone and cup of rice which i think was just reheated on that day. Our stomachs were grumbling so we didn't had a choice but to eat their very lame food. This Philtranco bus company must know how their passengers feel after a very long and bumpy ride and must at least give them the decency to rest and indulge in a not necessarily expensive but nice, clean, dust-free and delicious food stop overs. My disappointments really took its toll.

I'm warning everyone who wants to go to Naga or any other city in Bicol to never avail of Philtranco services because they simply suck big time.

My Surprise for the Boss :)

I was so happy and my heart melted when i saw his reaction to what i did. Although i also need to save up for personal expenses, i made sure that his birthday celebration will be extra special because he finally graduated from college. I'm very proud of him. He really pursued his studies despite lack of sleep and fatigue from a 9-hour shift at work and as an extra bonus, he did graduated with very good grades.

So for this year's celebration, i availed of the Romantic Dinner Package from Seven Suites Hotel and Observatory in Antipolo.
It includes:

Exclusive use of Upper Deck overlooking metropolis.
Romantic and Candlelit dinner set-up.
Full course dinner meal (appetizer to dessert).
Bottle of Wine.
One round of Iced Tea.
Bouquet of flowers.
Shower of Petals.
Romantic Background Music.
Private Waiter/Personal Butler.
Stargazing with In-house Astronomer.

The boss was clueless about it. I also got him an F1 RC car which he really wanted to have ages ago..but he was too hesitant to buy it himself because he said that there are a lot of things that needed to be done first. (in short - kuripot) . I told him we're gonna go to the hotel for a photoshoot and the other photogs invited us for dinner first before starting. So as comfy as always, clad in shorts and his favorite white t-shirt we left home and i was nervous already as i try to repeat the lines i'm gonna use for the introduction of the video. We arrived at the hotel 30 minutes earlier and i told him that i'll just check if the other photogs are there already. So i left him in the car and i started to go upstairs and got giddy when i saw the 4th floor with red and white petals on the floor and little candles everywhere!!! I was so tensed that i forgot to take pictures of the stairs. After instructing the butler how to use the vid cam, we phoned the receptionist to call the boss. When the boss finally saw me, he was all smiles and he didn't know what to do hahahaha! He just kept on fixing his hair (he's nervous when he does that) and i greeted him and asked him to go outside and he can't believe his eyes when he saw the set-up and the flowers I gave him. The waiter started serving the food and everything was great. Well except for the steak, I made sure its make it well done but my knife can barely go through it. The boss kept saying that he can't believe i surprised him again this year. He said that he won't be able to imagine that kind of gift for his birthday..he also added that this is his first time to recieve flowers and such. He told me that i made him feel like a prince. (woopee!!!)

After dinner, we just hanged along until the astronomer came, he gave us a brief background of what he does, mounted the telescope and we started to learn about the big deeper, sirius, the planet saturn and its moons, the brightest star at night and the moon. It was really amazing when I peeked in the telescope and saw saturn! It was really Saturn with the ring and all! Hahaahah! We felt like 12 year old kids! We called it a night at around 10pm because i have DBMS class the next morning. But the boss asked me not to go to school since he wants to be beside me all day. (kilig!) When we arrived home, he already played with his toy car and watching him and his smiles made me really feel like : "yes! i did it!"

For the longest time, I've been wanting to go with fellow friends to photowalks and other shoots but i just don't have the time. Thank heavens for the Holy Week because everybody doesn't have work (excluding me, arrggh!) and school.

So i took the chance of inviting old friends who helped me with my multimedia project before and went to UP Diliman (t'was my first time there..yeah yeah.. i know hehehe!) to take some stills. I learned a lot from the other photogs who were more experienced than I was and applied it to my shots. Here are some :

T'was such a fucking awesome day

Efcor Resort, Angat Bulacan

After 4 years, my cousins and i with the boss bonded again..and i mean really bonded. I almost peed on my shorts because of laughing (hahahaha) my Kuya Alexan's jokes really hits me in the gut!!! I missed all of them badly. Ever since our other cousins migrated to California we didn't had the chance to bond like this again..because of conflicting schedules and other's just don't have the time.

On this day the "shoulder move" was born. Haha! Its not really a dance step, you only move your shoulders from side to side depending on the beat of the song..even Mamu tried it! We were all laughing like crazy and like we were the only people in the resort hahahaha! Here are some scenes (naks! parang movie ah. hihi!) :

I have a blog..now what?!

I want to post something..but because of the not so exciting things that are happening in my life right now (excluding the boss of course) i don't really have anything to share..hmmm..maybe after this sunday..the boss and i will go biking..will also bring Eva so i can take some snapshots.

Eva is by the way rightfully mine already. I fully paid her last monday. yey!!!

My bestfriend Jemima who's celebrating her birthday todaaayyy!!!

1.She's the one who sheltered me before when i stowed away from home.

2. She was the one saved me from walking to school because i don't have any money to pay the fare.

3. She is the one who never gets tired of sharing her food with me.

4. She is the one who willingly teaches me in the subjects that i don't do well in school.

5. She made me feel like i'm a part of their very fun and loving family.

6. She understands my every mood.

7. She is the one who introduced me to the Lord Jesus Christ. (I can still remember crying that night.)
